K-POP and Its Influence In Korea

The crew was originally composed of rappers; however, after DEAN came in, hip hop became well-mixed with R & B. Dean usually wears loose clothes and this became a popular trend along with hip-hop style clothes.

Previous to DOK 2, American style trap was not popular in Korea The hard beat was not familiar to Koreans before DOK2 His music style did not come to rise for about 7 years after DOK2's debut Proved that persistence can lead to success Koreans became aware of SWAG and luxuries Ex: Rolex and Gucci 

Introduction of Jay Park Famous song: Solo, All I wanna Do, Yacht The leader of label AOMG Just like USA hip-hop, Korean rappers started to form labels. Jay Park was one of the pioneer who started his own hip hop label  Hip-Hop/ R&B solo artist  Very Independent  Jay Park do not care about others' opinion and this inspired many Koreans. Most artists in Korea are part of big entertainment company (YG, JYP, and SM) Korean THUG life Jay Park was originally a leader of K-pop group called 2PM. He had to stay in routine and only perform certain types of music just like other K-pop stars. However, he became more successful after he left the team. This proved that not only big labels can be successful but also independence can gain popularity. 

Introduction of Zico Famous Song: Boys and Girls, Eureka, Artist Debut in 2011 through K-Pop group "Block B" Block B is a group that most people know in Korea but Zico is more well-known Zico produces both Hip Hop and R&B music AKA Korean Chris Brown  Began the singing-rapping style hip hop music in Korea  Leader of group "Block B" Many K-Pop group leaders try to follow Zico and learn how to compose music What can someone learn about Korean culture in general from Zico? Starting 2014, Koreans became much more interested in Hip Hop compared to the past. The Hip Hop syndrome included many hip hop artist and Zico was one of them Zico's clothes such as Stone Island and Carhartt
